THANK YOU!

And with that, the Kickstarter campaign ends! Thank you all so very much for your support! You helped us bring our first full-length adventure to life, and we are truly overjoyed. So overjoyed, in fact, the Kobolds have collapsed from happiness. This project went bigger than we expected, which is great but also a LOT to plan! We suspect the Kobold-in-Chief will wander the warrens, prodding the kobolds back to life over the weekend.

Moving forward over the summer and into the fall, we plan to:

  • Have a big Stretch Goal meeting to confirm designer, cartographer, and artist instructions. Double and triple count all elements to make sure extra art, maps, and text goals from the final push are assigned correctly.
  • Send out the (purely optional!) playtest signup form in June for testing new monsters, new races, new subclasses, tricky Lair encounters, and, possibly, chapter finales. Reports are due in late July. Groups that submit a report get additional material to playtest, and any playtesters who submit a report will be credited in the book.
  • Share additional maps and art sketches as they come in, such as sample layout, monsters, and NPCs.
  • Continue editing the main book text and stretch goal text as it comes in.
  • Share design forum/mailing list access with the design forum backers and begin design discussion on particular issues. This will include some brainstorming and focus on encounters, characters, etc.
  • Incorporate playtest results into the adventure, lairs, and PC options.
  • Post monthly updates on the highlights of design, playtest, editing, layout, and print news.
  • Prepare the survey for shipping and upgrades.
  • Make sure we keep on target! Kobold Press anticipates a timely release of print, PDF, and virtual tabletop elements. If things fall behind, we prefer to let you know sooner rather than later!

Again, thank you all from the bottoms of our little kobold hearts! We’ll see you in the Underworld!

The Empire Needs You!

Ok backers, this is the last chance to tell your GM, your online buddies, and total strangers about the glory of the Ghoul Imperium! The Emperor needs you to post a link to this Kickstarter somewhere, anywhere, the better to draw in additional surface dwellers as recruits and, erm, fuel to expand the Empire of the Ghouls project to maximum awesomeness.

Our current stretch goals are adding more ruins and cities to the Underworld and adding a higher level encounter to Underworld Lairs. Help us get there! Bang the drum and sound the horn! TELL YOUR FRIENDS about Empire of the Ghouls and please the Emperor!

Couriers with sealed bone scrolls shall be dispatched from every corner of the Underworld, but they're not connected to the Internet!

Your kobold friends plead for this assistance, tall people, and we thank you for your help in furthering the Ghoul Imperium’s expansion with another art preview! This terrifying piece is by the great William O’Brien. It is just a sketch, and the kobolds are already trembling at the might of that dragon!
